Yes, you can grow beautiful dahlias. We’ll teach you how.

MIDS provides excellent classes for beginning dahlia growers. Classes are held at 7 P.M., prior to each of our meetings. The classes are called Dahlias 101. Tom Cleere, award winning dahlia grower, conducts these sessions. At each class he teaches whatever is relevant to dahlia growing during that month. March:  Planning Your Dahlia Garden.  We'll review garden layout, sun requirements and needed supplies.

April: Propagating Dahlias By Stem Cuttings.  This will be a hands on class, with all supplies provided.

May:  Everything You Need To Know About Planting Dahlias.  Garden success begins today.

June: Supporting Dahlias.  What option works best for you?

July:  Carefree Dahlia Growing.  Time saving tips that don't sacrifice results.

August:  Here Come The Blooms. How to create large and abundant blooms.

September:  Be A Dahlia Showoff. How to exhibit dahlias in the home and win at shows.

October:  How to Successfully Store Dahlias.  It's not as hard as you think. We'll offer several proven methods.

November: Your 2010 Dahlia Experience Reviewed.  We'll help you understand why your garden worked or didn't, and how to improve results.
